Doug has served on the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, including as Chair, and acts as a mediator in the Florida Bar’s Grievance Mediation and Fee Arbitration Program. Doug’s dedication to protecting others is also evident in his community work. He has served as a guardian ad litem, advocating for children in difficult circumstances. Doug is also a frequent speaker in local schools and coordinates the law firm’s holiday card contest for special education students.

Doug has been a judge in the National Trial Advocacy Tournament, sponsored by the University of Florida College of Law, and has also judged mock trial competitions for his undergraduate alma mater, the University at Albany. Doug also mentors students in the legal studies program at the University of Central Florida.
